Getting Ready for Thanksgivings

Can you believe it’s about that time to cook the bird and join around the table to share in Thanksgivings?

For me, I love the time to break out the cooking skills and see what I can do.  I already have the bird thawing out in the fridge, the side dishes are prepped, and the pies are ready to be made.  This year should be even more fun as our new kitchen has some great appliances and a gas range to really bring that pro-cook feel!
So far, the menu is turkey (of course!), green-bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes, dressing, and the ever-famous beer bread!
You have to love beer bread, just 3 ease ingredients:  1 bottle of beer, 3 cup of self rising flour, and 1 teaspoon of sugar.  Bake for about 45 minutes and you are good to go!  The best part is, the flavor changes based on what kind of beer you use.  I know, I know, some would say it’s a waste of a beer!  🙂
So what’s going to be on your table?
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
