“There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery,
and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter. Which
luckily I am.”
– Mad Hatter
What fun weekend of sessions! This past weekend I had the pleasure of
shooting some character art fun in the form of Alice in Wonderland
characters as well as a Star Wars Storm Trooper.
Right off the bat, I had to shoot the Mad Hatter (Marco) with some classic
and dramatic lighting to give him that true cinematic effect; kind of a
movie poster style. While I don’t usually add a lot effects to a picture,
this image just needed that little bit of craziness, so I added the
scratched to image to complete the look.
Going a bit dark, I wanted to pay up Shelley’s Queen of Hearts and make it a
bit evil. I love teasing Shelley about creating edgy images with her,
usually she does a lot of very pretty, elegant work that are always lovely;
and then here I am making her dark and scary with burning eyes! Lol!
Thankfully she does like the image and the variety it gives her.
Lastly, let’s rock some Storm Trooper images with some 300 movie style to
the shots! Darren is part of the 501st and is an amazing costume artist
with latterly dozens of costume creations under his belt! If you have any
questions about how to build just about any costume, just ask him!
